This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth ivory (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is naturally dense and solid, despite one some tiny, non-penetrating fissures. Tapered width and thickness with reserves on both ends: One cross-cut section is wider and thicker than the other. This piece displays its original, natural ivory tone.
