This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth ivory (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is naturally dense and solid, despite some small cracks. Tapered thickness: One cross-cut section is significantly thicker than the other. Consistent width with reserves on both ends. The piece displays its original, natural brown-ivory tone. The colour of the outer layer of bark is brown-white.
