This hand-carved mammoth ivory figurine represents a woolly mammoth. The figurine was carved by hand from a solid piece of authentic fossil mammoth ivory (Mammuthus primigenius), except for the tusks. The tusks were carved separately and then attached to the skull. The sculpture features beautifully carved fur texture and elegantly curved tusks, giving the piece a strong presence.
The figurine is set on a genuine piece of natural brown-creme mammoth bark to complete the presentation.
