This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth ivory (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is naturally dense and solid, despite some tiny, non-penetrating cracks. Tapered width: One cross-cut section is wider than the other. Consistent thickness with reserves on both ends. The colour of the ivory is brown.
