Natural mammoth bark scales

This is a pre-cut pair of natural woolly mammoth bark scales (Mammuthus primigenius). These scales are in very good condition. The ivory is rock-solid despite the small, non-penetrating cracks. Please note that one slab is slightly wider and shorter than the other.  Consistent thickness with reserves on both ends. The colour of the bark is beige-blue.

Geological epoch: Pleistocene.

Age: Over 10,000 years.

Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).

These beige-blue mammoth bark scales are not stabilized and/or filled with epoxy. Please note that none of our mammoth ivory is artificially stabilized and/or restored unless explicitly stated.
