This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid despite the cracks on the thicker (and wider) cross-cut section. Reserves on both ends. Please carefully look at the pictures for precise dimensions. The colour of the bark is a mix of beige, brown and blue.
Geological epoch: Pleistocene.
Age: Over 10,000 years.
Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
