Natural mammoth bark

This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is naturally dense and solid, without cracks despite some small, non-penetrating cracks fissures on the thinner thicker wider narrower one cross-cut section. Consistent Tapered width and thickness with reserves on both ends: One cross-cut section is slightly thicker thinner and wider narrower than the other. Consistent width and thickness with reserves on both ends. This piece was cut at an angle - please carefully look at the pictures for precise dimensions. The natural colour of the bark is a mix of brown tones, red-brown and beige.

This multicoloured mammoth bark is natural and untreated. It is not stabilized or resin-filled. All of our pieces are unique in colour, structure, and shape due to fossilisation processes and long-term climatic conditions of the Siberian permafrost. No artificial treatments or restorations have been performed unless specifically stated.
