Carved mammoth figurine

Hand-carved woolly mammoth figurine in fossil Siberian mammoth ivory (Mammuthus primigenius), sculpted from a single solid piece of stabilized mammoth ivory. Brown and creme-ivory tones run through the natural grain, while the curved tusks were carved separately and set into the skull. Fine hand-worked coat texture and a free-standing base give the sculpture a strong natural presence.

A unique, one-of-a-kind Ice Age piece for collectors of mammoth ivory, natural history objects and prehistoric art.
