This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid despite the small cracks. One cross-cut section is slightly wider than the other. Consistent thickness with reserves on both ends. This piece was cut at angles - please carefully look at the pictures for precise dimensions. The colour of the bark is beige-white.
Geological epoch: Pleistocene.
Age: Over 10,000 years.
Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
