This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth ivory (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid and completely dry. There is a small crack on the thicker (and wider) cross-cut section. Reserves on both ends. Please carefully look at the pictures for precise dimensions. The colour of the ivory is white. The colour of the outer layer of bark is brown.
Geological epoch: Pleistocene.
Age: Over 10,000 years.
Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
