This lot consists of 4 immaculately turned round pieces of Siberian woolly mammoth ivory (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is naturally dense and solid, without cracks. Consistent diameter throughout. Please carefully look at the pictures for precise dimensions. The pieces display their original, natural ivory tone.
Geological Epoch: Pleistocene Age: Over 10,000 years Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia), Siberia
These mammoth ivory pieces are natural and untreated. They are not stabilized or resin-filled. All of our pieces are unique in colour, structure, and shape due to fossilization processes and long-term climatic conditions of the Siberian permafrost. No artificial treatments or restorations have been performed unless specifically stated.
