This hand-carved mammoth ivory figurine represents a woolly mammoth. The figurine was carved by hand from a solid piece of genuine fossil mammoth ivory (Mammuthus primigenius), except for the tusks. The tusks were carved separately and then attached to the skull. The sculpture features beautifully carved fur texture and elegantly curved tusks, giving the piece a strong natural presence.
The figurine stands on a wooden base. A genuine piece of mammoth bark forms the background and completes the presentation.
