This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is naturally dense and solid, despite some small, non-penetrating fissures. Tapered thickness: One cross-cut section is thicker than the other. Consistent width with reserves on both ends. The natural colour of the bark is dark chocolate-brown with cream/tan flecking.
