This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid despite some small cracks. One cross-cut section is wider than the other, because the sides of this piece were cut at an angle. Reserves on both ends. Please carefully look at the pictures for precise dimensions. The colour of the bark is brown.
Geological epoch: Pleistocene.
Age: Over 10,000 years.
Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
