This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid despite some small cracks. One cross-cut section is slightly wider than the other. Consistent thickness with reserves on both ends. The colour of the bark is brown.
Geological epoch: Pleistocene.
Age: Over 10,000 years.
Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
This brown mammoth bark is not stabilised and / or filled with resin. Please note that none of our mammoth ivory is artificially stabilised and / or restored unless explicitly stated.
