This is a premium-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is naturally dense and solid, despite some small, non-penetrating cracks. Tapered thickness: One cross-cut section is thicker than the other. Consistent width with reserves on both ends. This piece was cut at an angle - please carefully look at the pictures for precise dimensions. The natural colour of the bark is black-grey.
