Natural woolly mammoth bark

This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is naturally dense and solid, despite some small cracks. Tapered thickness: One cross-cut section is slightly thicker than the other. Consistent width with reserves on both ends. The natural colour of the bark is a mix of blue, beige and brown.

This multi-coloured mammoth bark is natural and untreated. It is not stabilised or resin-filled. All of our pieces are unique in colour, structure, and shape due to fossilization processes and long-term climatic conditions of the Siberian permafrost. No artificial treatments or restorations have been performed unless specifically stated.
