Round woolly mammoth tusk piece

This is a good-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth ivory (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory of this round piece is rock-solid and completely dry. There are some small cracks. One cross-cut section is slightly larger than the other. Please carefully look at the pictures for precise dimensions. The colour of the ivory is white. The colour of the outer layer of bark is caramel-brown.

Geological epoch: Pleistocene.

Age: Over 10,000 years.

Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
