Creme-brown mammoth bark

This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is naturally dense and solid, despite some small, non-penetrating cracks. Tapered thickness: One cross-cut section is thicker than the other. Consistent width with reserves on both ends. The natural colour of the bark is a mix of cream, caramel brown, dark vivianite blue-black (strong blue zone in the lower half).

This brown mammoth bark is natural and untreated. It is not stabilized or resin-filled. All of our pieces are unique in colour, structure, and shape due to fossilization processes and long-term climatic conditions of the Siberian permafrost. No artificial treatments or restorations have been performed unless specifically stated.
