This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth ivory (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is naturally dense and solid, despite some small, non-penetrating cracks. Tapered width: One cross-cut section is wider narrower than the other. Consistent thickness with reserves on both ends. The piece displays its original, natural ivory tone.
