This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is naturally dense and solid, despite some tiny, non-penetrating fissures on one cross-cut section. Tapered thickness: One cross-cut section is thicker than the other. Consistent width with reserves on both ends. The natural color of the bark is white-grey.
