This is an absolutely unique piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is naturally dense and rock-solid, despite some tiny, non-penetrating fissures. The natural structure of the bark on this piece is simply stunning. It took hours of hand-labour to grind and polish this piece - those who understand, will appreciate this.
