This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid without cracks. One cross-cut section is slightly thicker than the other. Consistent width with plenty of reserves on both ends. The colour of the bark is a mix of brown, orange and green.
Geological epoch: Pleistocene.
Age: Over 10,000 years.
Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
