This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid despite one tiny, non-penetratin fissure on the edge of one cross-cut section. Consistent width and thickness with reserves on both ends. The colour of the bark is brown.
Geological epoch: Pleistocene.
Age: Over 10,000 years.
Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
