This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is naturally dense and solid, despite some small, non-penetrating crack on the thicker cross-cut section. Consistent width with reserves on both ends. The natural colour of the bark is tan-brown with grey-green and charcoal cloudy staining.
