Beige-black mammoth bark

This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is naturally dense and solid, despite some small, non-penetrating cracks. Tapered width: One cross-cut section is narrower than the other. Consistent thickness with reserves on both ends. The natural colour of the bark is beige-black.

This beige-black mammoth bark is natural and untreated. It is not stabilised or resin-filled. All of our pieces are unique in colour, structure, and shape due to fossilisation processes and long-term climatic conditions of the Siberian permafrost.
