Natural woolly mammoth bark

This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid without cracks. One cross-cut section is slightly thicker than the other. Consistent width with reserves on both ends. The underside is flat. The colour of the bark is a mix of brown, orange and white.

Geological epoch: Pleistocene.

Age: Over 10,000 years.

Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
