This is a good-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth ivory (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid despite the cracks. One cross-cut section is thinner and wider than the other. The underside is almost completely flat, revealing the conical structure of the mammoth tusk. This piece is curved and was cut under an angle - please carefully look at the pictures for precise dimensions. The colour of the ivory is white. The colour of the outer layer of bark is a mix of white, yellow and brown.

Age: Over 10,000 years.
Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
