This is a good-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth ivory (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid despite the cracks on the thicker cross-cut section. Consistent width with reserves on both ends. One cross-cut section was cut under an angle - please carefully look at the pictures for precise dimensions. The colour of the bark is brown-caramel.
Geological epoch: Pleistocene.
Age: Over 10,000 years.
Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
