This is a good-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid despite the small crack on the cross-cut section which was cut at an angle. The straight cross-cut section is thicker than the other. Enough reserves on both ends. Please carefully look at the pictures for precise dimensions. The colour of the bark is a stunning mix of blue, green and beige.
Geological epoch: Pleistocene.
Age: Over 10,000 years.
Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
This beige-blue mammoth bark piece is not stabilized and / or filled with resin. Please take note that none of our mammoth ivory is artificially stabilized and / or restored unless explicitly stated.
