This is a masterfully hand-carved figurine of a bear. The entire body was carved from a solid block of white mammoth ivory (Mammuthus primigenius). The bear is set on a mammoth bone cross-cut section. The colour of the ivory is white.

Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
