This is a good-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid despite the small cracks. This piece is suitable as a collector's item since it perfectly displays the natural structure of a mammoth tusk - there is the interior ivory going flawlessly into brown mammoth bark. The surface pattern of the bark is incredible. Please carefully look at the pictures for precise dimensions. The colour of the bark is brown.
Geological epoch: Pleistocene.
Age: Over 10,000 years.
Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
This piece is presented in its natural condition - it is not stabilized and/or injected with resin. Please take note that none of our mammoth ivory is artificially stabilized and/or restored unless explicitly stated.
