This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid despite the small, non-penetrating cracks. One cross-cut section is slightly thicker than the other. Consistent width with reserves on both ends. Please carefully look at the pictures for precise dimensions. The colour of the bark is the rare mix of blue and mustard.
Geological epoch: Pleistocene.
Age: Over 10,000 years.
Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
This piece is presented in its natural condition - it is not stabilized and/or injected with resin. Please take note that none of our mammoth ivory is artificially stabilized and/or restored unless explicitly stated.
