This is a professionally stabilised piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory of this piece is literally rock-solidly stabilised, allowing you to cut across or along the cracks - it will not break, nor will it crumble. One cross-cut section is slightly thicker than the other. Consistent width with reserves on both ends. One side was cut at an angle - please carefully look at the pictures for precise dimensions. The colour of the bark is brown.
Geological epoch: Pleistocene.
Age: Over 10,000 years.
Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
