This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid despite the tiny, non-penetrating fissure on the edge of one cross-cut section. Consistent thickness with plenty of reserves on both ends. This piece was cut at two angles - please carefully look at the pictures for precise dimensions. The colour of the bark is beige-blue.
Geological epoch: Pleistocene.
Age: Over 10,000 years.
Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
This beige-blue mammoth bark is not stabilized and / or filled with resin. Please note that none of our mammoth ivory is artificially stabilized and / or restored unless explicitly stated.
