This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid despite one tiny, non-penetrating fissure. One cross-cut section is wider (and thicker) than the other. Reserves on both ends. This piece was cut at multiple angles - please carefully look at the pictures for precise dimensions. The colour of the bark is beige with some blue patches.
Geological epoch: Pleistocene.
Age: Over 10,000 years.
Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
