This is a good-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid despite the small crack on the thicker cross-cut section. Consistent width with plenty of reserves on both ends. One end was cut at an angle - please carefully look at the pictures for precise dimensions. The colour of the bark is beige-blue.
Geological epoch: Pleistocene.
Age: Over 10,000 years.
Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
This beige-blue mammoth bark is not stabilized and / or filled with resin. Please note that none of our mammoth ivory is artificially stabilized and / or restored unless explicitly stated.
