This is a good-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid despite the small, non-penetrating cracks. One cross-cut section is thicker and wider than the other. Reserves on both ends. This piece is curved - please carefully look at the pictures for precise dimensions. The colour of the bark is beige with some blue patches.
Geological epoch: Pleistocene.
Age: Over 10,000 years.
Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
