This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid despite one tiny, non-penetrating fissure. One cross-cut section is thinner and wider than the other. One cross-cut section was cut at an angle - please carefully look at the pictures for precise dimensions. The colour of the bark is brown-cream.
Geological epoch: Pleistocene.
Age: Over 10,000 years.
Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
