This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid despite one non-penetrating crack on the side. One cross-cut section is slightly thicker and wider than the other. Plenty of reserves on both ends. The colour of the bark is a beautiful green-beige.
Geological epoch: Pleistocene.
Age: Over 10,000 years.
Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
This green-beige mammoth bark is not stabilised and / or filled with resin. Please take note that none of our mammoth ivory is artificially stabilised and / or restored unless explicitly stated.
