This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid despite the tiny, non-penetrating crack on one cross-cut section. Consistent width and thickness with reserves on both ends. This piece is curved - please carefully look at the pictures for precise dimensions. The colour of the bark is beige-brown.
Geological epoch: Pleistocene.
Age: Over 10,000 years.
Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
