This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid without cracks. There is a tiny, non-penetrating fissure on the wider (and slightly thicker) cross-cut section. Plenty of reserves on both ends. One side was cut at an angle - please carefully look at the pictures for precise dimensions. The colour of the bark is a beautiful brown-beige.
Geological epoch: Pleistocene.
Age: Over 10,000 years.
Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
This brown-beige mammoth bark is not stabilized and /or filled with epoxy. Please take note that none of our mammoth ivory is artificially stabilized and / or restored unless explicitly stated.
