Natural mammoth ivory scales

This is a pre-cut pair of natural woolly mammoth ivory scales (Mammuthus primigenius). These scales are in an immaculate condition. There is one tiny, non-penetrating crack on the topside of one cross-cut section - on one scale. Consistent width and thickness with reserves on both ends. The undersides are flat. The colour of the bark is beige.

Geological epoch: Pleistocene.

Age: Over 10,000 years.

Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).

These mammoth ivory scales are presented in their natural condition - they are not stabilized and/or injected with resin. Please take note that none of our mammoth ivory is artificially stabilized and/or restored unless explicitly stated.
