Natural mammoth ivory piece

This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth ivory (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid, completely dry and without cracks. One cross-cut section is slightly wider than the other. Consistent thickness with reserves on both ends. The underside is flat. The colour of the ivory is white. The colour of the bark is creme.

Geological epoch: Pleistocene.

Age: Over 10,000 years.

Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
