Natural mammoth tusk piece

This is a good-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth ivory (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid despite the cracks. One cross-cut section is slightly larger than the other. Plenty of useable reserves on both ends. Please carefully look at the pictures for precise dimensions. The colour of the ivory is white. The colour of the outer layer of bark is creme.

Geological epoch: Pleistocene.

Age: Over 10,000 years.

Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
