Natural mammoth ivory scales

This is a pre-cut pair of natural woolly mammoth ivory scales (Mammuthus primigenius). These scales are in a very good condition. There are some tiny, non-penetrating cracks. Consistent thickness with reserves on both ends. Both slabs were cut at an angle - please carefully look at the pictures for precise dimensions. The colour of the ivory is white-grey.

Geological epoch: Pleistocene.

Age: Over 10,000 years.

Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).

These natural mammoth ivory scales are not stabilised and/or filled with resin. Please note that none of our mammoth ivory is artificially stabilised and/or restored unless explicitly stated.
