Beige mammoth bark

This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid despite one tiny, non-penetrating fissure on the narrower cross-cut section. Consistent thickness with reserves on both ends. The colour of the bark is beige.

Geological epoch: Pleistocene.

Age: Over 10,000 years.

Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
