White mammoth ivory segment

This is an immaculate piece of Siberian woolly mammoth ivory (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid, completely dry and without cracks. One side is longer than the other. Consistent thickness with plenty of reserves on both ends. The colour of the ivory is white. The colour of the outer layer of bark is brown.

Geological epoch: Pleistocene.

Age: Over 10,000 years.

Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
