White mammoth ivory segment

This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth ivory (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid and completely dry. There are some small cracks on the wider cross-cut section Consistent thickness with plenty of reserves on both ends. The colour of the ivory is white. The colour of the outer layer of bark is blue.

Geological epoch: Pleistocene.

Age: Over 10,000 years.

Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
