This is a professionally stabilized piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory of this piece is rock-solidly stabilized, allowing you to cut across or along the cracks - it will not break, nor will it crumble. One cross-cut section is narrower than the other, because one side was cut at an angle. The narrower cross-cut section is thinner than the other. Reserves on both ends. Please carefully look at the pictures for precise dimensions. The colour of the bark is a mix of orange, grey, brown and blue.
Geological epoch: Pleistocene.
Age: Over 10,000 years.
Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
